Depends on how you've set up the chess game, top down or isometric. I still have some animation programs on my computer, as well as the photoshop suite, so I'd be glad to help out with graphics at the very least ^^

The Omega and Alpha Testing will be top down first just to give it a backbone. When it is time for beta, I think it would be isometric and the DK characters are now the pieces. I think it can be made at github so that everyone can see, if possible. Also, I wanted to add movement to be more lively and active.

Sorry for my lacking communication. School is kicking my ass.

I seem to be late to the party.

I'm a hobbyist programmer with more enthusiasm than experience. Where should I go / who should I talk to to find out what you guys are doing and how I can help?

If this project is still alive, your best bet would be to get in contact with BryanDimmsdale and/or MobileCrusader. If you send them a note they should reply to you soon enough.

Hello, the project is discontinued atm, but we were planning on creating a DK chess as a startup. We, um, let's just say we have alot of distractions going on with us, but we're still active, don't worry.

What we are currently working on is the DK wikia, and we really need to refurbish the site. I've changed the front page recently, but it's still incomplete. If you have experience editing in wikis, we would gladly appreciate it.

Here is the discussion:
Here is the site itself:

Also guys, update: Here's the code I've been promising to you guys:

And the group, sort of:

Back in the day I tried to get into game programming. It was a dream for me. Tried to find a language I can use. But I've gotten over-whelmed. I have no art skills and minimal sound skills.

I know how to flowchart, and I can mostly read code. I'm just not good at coming up with a whole engine or trying to make someone else's work for me. I am however capible of writing and I can do basic level design.

Problem is, my net connection limits me severly from doing much. I'm open for ideas but not sure what I can contribute to any project.

Languages I know, flash AS3, some C++ html 4 (want to get into HTML 5 for possible game programming.) And lastly... Very little java. Flash is no longer mainstream now java has taken over. I'd love to help create a DK game.

I really like java, still learning it. I have basic, TIBasic and some html down. I think html 4? It was a while ago. I pick up on stuff fast but if it isn't interesting my brain dumps it :/

makes highschool interesting lol

Sadly flash is officially dead now x.x...

And it would be perfect for a point and click game.

Heck a DK I-spy game would be awesome.

Try Python, it is very powerful AND very easy to learn. Even NASA uses it!

Oh wow, this thread is kinda old, I guess.

Actually, flash is not yet dead, I still see some games are still using it and they run pretty well for and old program. An example would be Dragonfable

And for those who only knows little to basic programming, these tools/apps will definitely help you, a lot. I'm gonna try them myself, because I am gonna create a project required for our class, and it's to create a free app game for android, haha such coincidence. One of them is app inventor: . You just drag and play all of the codes; you don't have to memorize them much anymore, here's the image:

If that doesn't satisfy/work for you, I actually happened to have a github account as well. Github is actually an open source site where you can collaborate with everyone making and creating and editing codes on a specific app or program. It's kinda like google drive/docs but with programming:

Also, does anybody have the images and gameplay of the actual DK game, I would like to see it, thank you!

Wait... Appinventor allows for or grammin solely online?

I have very limited internet, is there a way to download it for offline use?

Luckily there is, and it's app inventor 2 which is a more updated program, fortunately. Here are the instructions on installing it; the download is also there as well.
